It's quite sure that our pupils find it difficult to ask a w.h. question, that's why I'm trying to help them in five easy steps to let them know how this question is formed

Step one:

find the yes or no question

Step two:

( Identify the information ( the word that is the answer to the question

Step three:

Replace the information with the appropriate question word

Step four:

( Put the question word at the beginning of the yes or no question (in step one

Step five:

Clean the information from the question

Your question is now ready, but of course there are some exceptions. For example when you ask for the subject, the verb comes directly conjugated after the question word
